BandTracker or I Always Forget to Look

I was checking out GarageSpin and found the Oodle BandTracker. It seems like a good idea. I can’t stand to listening to local radio and for some reason always forget to pick up a free paper and check out the concert listings. I always tend to find out about things to late.

The idea of the BandTracker is that it sends you an email to say when a band will becoming to your area. It say there 300,000 something bands listed. I didn’t stump it. But did let me track The Beatles. I am keeping my fingers crossed for an email announcing one of there shows in my area.

I just ran across this post (a bit late!) but I cant agree more.

I LOVE small, imperfect bands in small, intimate settings for reasonable prices - usually right next door.

There is one awesome way to discover such shows, check it out: http://gruvr.com

Gruvr also lets you track bands, just add any band to the ‘band radar’ list. No account needed, and it also tracks YOU, so if you take your laptop to some other town, you’ll automatically get alerts about favorite bands nearby.

I’ll let you figure out how it works; it’s a pleasant surprise
