Wavosaur
A lot of people know about the free audio editor Audacity. But there is another free one out the called Wavosaur. Here is a features overview:
Wavosaur is a free sound editor, audio editor, wav editor software for editing, processing and recording sounds, wav and mp3 files.
Wavosaur has all the features to edit audio (cut, copy, paste, etc.) produce music loops, analyze, record, batch convert.
Wavosaur supports VST plugins, ASIO driver, multichannel wav files, real time effect processing.
The program has no installer and doesn’t write in the registry.
If you are like me and never been that impressed with the commercial audio editors value/price you should try it out and see how you like it.
Trakax
Trakax is billed as, “the ultimate multimedia creation tool.” That of course is hyperbole. What is something like Acid or Garage Band but only free. The maker HighAndes appears to attempting to make money selling users loops and their mobile version. I have fooled with it only a bit. It seems fairly easy to use and should good for people that do not need the complication of a more robust DAW. Will let anyone make there own Videos and mixes. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.
