Critter and Guitar sell this little kit to make any box into an amp. It is $30 which is more that the say a Cracker box Amp that you can piece together for next to nothing but kit are easy.

This is great video on building the Chu Moy headphone amp. It is super cool and fun and one of the first projects I did. If you have wanted to do something like this it is a great project.
